Over the past couple of years Australian Marine Insurers have progressively been pulling the pin on Ferro boat insurance.     It's not for us to comment on their logic for not offering renewal or taking on new risks suffice to say we have a solution.

As Australian agents for Edward William we are generally able to offer Ferro boat owners either, Third Party Only as is now required by most marina operators or, Comprehensive Cover that will include Third Party.

When completing the Proposal Form please note the following;

• If you require a quotation for THIRD PARTY ONLY Insurance;

Enter either AU$5 million or AU$10 million (which ever you require) in the "Third Party Liability Level" field.

Enter a nought in The SUMS TO BE INSURED section.

• If you require a quotation for COMPREHENSIVE COVER INCLUDING THIRD PARTY

Enter either AU$5 million or AU$10 million (which ever you require) in the "Third Party Liability Level" field.

Complete the SUMS TO BE INSURED section in full.  The value for Insurance should be the current market value which for a recent purchase is the price paid.

• Even if it is not your intention to do any single handed sailing please tick the Yes box for "Single Handed Sailing". Failure to do so will prejudice your cover in the event of unplanned single handing.
• If you live on board tick the "House Boat" box.
• Tick the Night Navigation box for the same reason we asked you to tick the single handing box. You don't want to be without insurance on the odd occasion you may be out after sunset.
• BEFORE YOU HIT THE SUBMIT BUTTON PRINT A COPY OF THE application FOR YOUR OWN RECORDS. WE'LL HAVE A COPY ON OUR RECORD SO DON'T BE CONCERNED IF YOU CAN'T PRINT A COPY.

We can also offer Third Party only as is now required by Marina operators or, Comprehensive Cover which includes Third Party.
